Boosters and blowers for the gases catalogs skip.

Stratovac builds oil-free, leak-tight regenerative boosters and blowers for high pressure, corrosive gases, explosive atmospheres and non-stop duty. Send your operating point and talk to the engineers who design the machine.

Product lines

Standard models where they fit and custom engineering where they don’t. All lines are oil-free machines built for continuous duty.

Standard equipment

Catalog models: boosters, vacuum pumps, claw compressors, blowers and turbos.

Custom engineered

Machines designed around your gas, your pressure and your skid.

Fewer parts to leak, wear or fail

Most gas problems come from shaft seals, oil, gears and corrosion. Stratovac machines are designed to take each of them out of the gas path.

How the magnetic drive seals the gas

Torque crosses a solid wall through magnets, so the motor shaft never enters the gas chamber.

Motor Dry side Outer magnets Innermagnets Sealed wall Gas side ImpellerImpeller BearingBearing InletOutlet To stage 2
  1. 1The motor turns the outer magnets, outside the gas.
  2. 2Their magnetic field crosses the sealed wall, with no hole for a shaft.
  3. 3The inner magnets turn the shaft and both impellers inside the gas.

  • Magnetic coupling

No shaft seal means no leak path and no seal to replace.

  • Oil-free gas path

No oil in the machine, so none reaches your gas, your process or the equipment downstream.

  • Corrosion resistance

Stainless steel or nickel-coated housings stand up to H2S, sulfuric acid and caustic cleaning products. Cerakote and anodized finishes are available.

  • Compact high speed

Up to 15,000 RPM in a footprint that fits on a robot, a gripper or a crowded skid.

  • Staged pressure

Identical units run in series, so you buy the pressure you need instead of an oversized single machine.

  • Hazardous-area motors

Class I Div. 1/2 and Class II Div. 2 motors let the machine install straight into classified areas.

Where Stratovac machines run

From biogas skids to ventilators and nuclear plants, the common thread is a gas that standard blowers handle badly.

Biogas and renewable natural gas

Blowers and boosters that move wet, flammable, H2S-laden gas through upgrading and conditioning systems, and boost it before pipeline injection.

Natural gas treatment

Gas recirculation and regeneration in dryers and PSA units, oxygen removal systems, and fuel-gas boosting for turbine skids.

Hydrogen and fuel cells

Turbo blowers for cathode air or oxygen supply and boosters for hydrogen recirculation, supplied to fuel cell manufacturers.

Collaborative robotics

Two-stage high-speed boosters small enough to mount on the robot or the gripper instead of a central station.

Medical and respiratory

Boosters cleaned and greased to meet breathable-air ISO limits for very low VOC. Used in a mechanical ventilator program built in Canada during COVID-19.

Dental equipment

Light, high-flow boosters for portable dental vacuum, with a nickel coating against caustic cleaning products.

Nuclear and radioactive gas

Custom boosters that circulate radioactive gas: radiation-resistant greases, depleted uranium shielding and a low-speed design for bearing life. Units delivered several years ago are still in operation.

Aquaculture

Air and oxygen injection for recirculating aquaculture systems and live-holding tanks. Oil-free for the safety of live species, built for 24/7 duty.

Compressed air and nitrogen

Electric boosters raise line pressure at the point of use without drawing compressed air from the network. A nitrogen booster for fiber laser cutting is in development.

From operating point to delivered unit

You talk to the engineers who design the machine, from the first question to the drawing approval.

  1. Understand

We review your gas, pressures, flow, duty cycle and the space available.

  2. Specify

We size the machine and agree with you on materials, motor and connections.

  3. Design

Our engineers design around your skid and share drawings for approval.

  4. Validate

Pressure parts and performance are tested before shipment.

  5. Deliver

Units ship from our production sites in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Barcelona, Spain.
